Hi. My name is Irene and it's nice to meet you all. I was born and raised in Southern California. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love to play with beads. When I was small I would drool over gemstones and shiny rocks. I’ve been collecting beads and shells from very early on and believe it or not 35 years or so later, I still have them!
It’s funny but at that time, it wasn’t to make anything with them, it was just because they were so beautiful to look at and play with and organize. I know that sounds really odd!

When my daughter was small she started to like beads as much as I did and we’d play with them together. Again, just collecting more, sorting, and designing things in our head. Now she’s a teen and she loves to create jewelry of her own. She’s worn her stuff to school and outside and I can’t believe how many orders she would get for her jewelry. My neighbors love her stuff and they wear it to work and then people at work would ask her to make some for them as well. She’s really, really good.

I suffer from panic attacks and agoraphobia and have a hard time getting out so my daughter and I decided that maybe we could start a jewelry business and this way I could stay at home. A friend who makes lampwork beads showed me some of her work and I was blown away. I figured I’d give it a try and I’ve been hooked ever since!
 
We have now entered the “glass supply” part of the world. This is a huge step for me and I'm so excited about taking this journey. Its always been a dream of mine to own my own business and I finally decided to take a chance. I took out a little loan and bought a little bit of glass.
We are still fairly new, April 1st was our opening so we still have a long way to go! Whatever we sell, we use to buy more and more product and hopefully we will have a "one stop lampwork shop"
 
I am a "one" person show here. We have no employees. Now that it's summer my daughter has been helping me out which has been wonderful. I also have another job (have to pay off that loan:-) but I promise you that your orders will be packaged and shipped within 48 hours. Alot of times your orders will go out the same day!
I pride myself in whatever I do and I want to be the best lampwork supplier out here on the web. I will be easy to reach, and easy to talk to!
 
My big goal is to get lampworking noticed in my own community. We have crafters and beaders all over the place but lampworkers are too few and far in between. I hope to change that!
